(Elara's POV)
After saying this, I threw the agreement in his face, got up and told him : "I'm going to rest, get out-oh, and take all your trash with you."I pointed at that large box of items.
I can't believe that the man I've loved for eight years since I was 16 is so disgusting!
The man standing in front of me wore his usual pathetic, hurt expression, only now I realized that it was just his usual trick.
"Elara, please," Ethan pleaded, You're being irrational. We can talk this through like adults."
"Irrational? I gave up my mate, my mating ritual, my dignity. Allowed that bitch to wear my gown and my jewelry to marry my mate. And now you accuse me of being irrational?"
I laughed bitterly, "But I have Aurelia to thank for that. If she hadn't caused the trouble, I would have married your disgusting, hypocritical man, and then my life would have fallen into an abyss!"
Katherine was angered by my words and stood up angrily, saying: "Elara, this is precisely why Aurelia is more suitable for Ethan. Look at your temper; Aurelia is different from you, she is so obedient and well-behaved."
I don't want to waste any more words with the mother and son."Ranger!" I barked sharply, and my wolfhound ran out of the bedroom, his mane standing tall.
I picked him up by accident while running through the mountains, and he seemed to be a cross between a wolf and a dog, with the eyes and claws of a wolf, but the loyalty and tameness of a dog.
Ranger growled, baring his teeth at Ethan and Katherine.
Ethan looked over at me, his eyes extremely strange, "Ellie, you've gone too far! "
"Get out," I repeated, my voice deadly calm. "Before I let him have a taste of you."My hand changed to a wolf's paw and swung at him.
Ethan backed toward the door, his expression morphing from shock to hurt. "You're being unreasonable. After everything we've been through-"
"After everything YOU put ME through," I corrected him. "Get out!"
They closed the door and left quickly, forgetting about the big box. I frowned, thinking I'd have to ask someone to throw it in the trash tomorrow.
The next morning, I received a transfer of two million dollars to my account.
Although my anger had not subsided, who would turn down money? I muttered to myself, packing up the jewelry set and deciding to deliver it to the treatment center personally.
Of course I'm not concerned about Aurelia, I want to see what she looks like when she's about to die.
Just as I was about to leave, my cell phone rang and it was my father, Knox.
I picked up the phone, "Elara!" Knox Thorn' voice boomed through the speaker. "Why haven't you visited your sister? She's sick, possibly dying, and you're too selfish to even check on her?"
I almost laughed at the absurdity. "Half-sister," I corrected. "And I'm on my way there now, actually."
